How do I find a device’s baud rate?

1. Select the port and connect at any rate.
2. Make the device print something (power-cycle or press reset).
3. Click ⚡ Auto. QCCOM tries 18 common rates, scores what it receives and connects with the best one.

Common defaults: STM32 HAL examples 115200; ESP32 logs 115200; ESP8266 boot messages 74880; many GPS modules 9600; AT-command modules 9600 or 115200.

If detection fails too, the problem is probably wiring, voltage levels or the frame format (see garbled serial output).
